Small Batch/Limited Drop

Rova was created because I fell in love with seeing the world.

Not just to resorts, not just to the places everyone else goes, but into neighborhoods, down side streets, and onto trains you're not completely sure you're taking in the right direction.

Travel reminds us that there is a world outside of the lives that we live.

Travel adds perspective. It makes the unfamiliar less intimidating.

Sometimes, it introduces you to a version of yourself you only seem to meet when you're far from home.

The problem is, you forget.

If you're lucky enough to travel across the world for a once-in-a-lifetime trip, you want to remember it. And you always say you will.

But you come home, return back to your routines. And slowly, you forget.

I have 20,000 travel photos sitting my camera roll.

I almost never look at them. I have saved boarding basses, train tickets, receipts, scraps of paper I couldn't bring myself to throw away. Only for them to eventually disappear into a drawer.

I almost never look at them. I have saved boarding basses, train tickets, receipts, scraps of paper I couldn't bring myself to throw away. Only for them to eventually disappear into a drawer.

I couldn't find what I was looking for...

I looked everywhere for a travel journal that had everything I wanted as a frequent traveler, key phrases, cultural notes, helpful details, and space for the things I collected along the way.

I couldn’t find it. Everything was either a blank notebook or a generic, mass-produced journal.

So I built Rova.

I built Rova between my 9-to-5 and client work. Long nights, countless revisions, too many paper samples, and more money than I’d like to calculate.

I obsessed over the details because I knew exactly what I wanted this journal to be. Something I’d be excited to pack for a trip. Something beautiful enough to keep for years, useful enough to actually travel with, and thoughtful enough to help me experience a place more deeply while I was there.

I made the travel journal I couldn’t find.

I wanted to bring a piece of my trip home with me. Now you can, too.
